Background:

I grew up in Killeen, Fort Hood.  My father served in the military for 30 years, so I was what they call a military brat.   My family is pretty big – five boys and one girl.   My mother, passed away from cancer when I was nine years old.  My father raised me and my 5 brothers on his own after my mother passed.   I am close to my family and talk to them daily. My husband, Anthony and I recently adopted the love our lives Lamona Jewel.  I am stepmom to Tamika and Grandma Mona to Morgan.   We also have 3 four legged babies Leo, Aries and Gemini!

Passion:

Losing my mother at such an early age made me curious about the family structure.  I always knew our family was different, given we lost my mom so early.  I now understand that different is more than okay!   We had the main component – LOVE.   I enjoy discussing family matters and being a source of help and prayer for families under attack or in need of help.   I am passionate about being the best wife and mother I can be.   I have been married for 7 years and have concluded that being a Christian and a wife, does not automatically make you a Christian Wife.  You do not get the badge of Proverbs 31 at the alter!  Marriage is a beautiful gift from God, but we have to do our part.  I have learned much in my 7 years and endeavor to learn even more.   I pray my writing will provide insight and help to women of all ages on their own journey – The Wife Journey.
